The Transport Management Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage is offered on behalf of the Department for Transport in relation to the current EU Directive.
This incorporates both national and international legislation. It is a ‘licence to practice’ and a legal requirement of the operator licensing system.
The course is suitable for any candidates wishing to enter the profession of road haulage transport management or to demonstrate competence in meeting the operator licensing requirements. The requirement for a CPC is contained within the Goods Vehicle (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 and it is these regulations that implement the EU Directive 74/561.
